899 CHARLESTON HITS HALFWAY MARK TOWARD FINANCING GOAL IN ONLY THREE MONTHS!
Only three months after unveiling plans for the first and only Jewish-sponsored senior living community in the South Peninsula, 899 Charleston is pleased to announce they have already reached the halfway mark toward their goal of financing construction.
“We are very excited! Typically, in selling cycles of senior living communities across the country, the process takes anywhere from 12 to 18 months. Because of great interest from prospective residents and the accomplishments of the remarkable 899 Charleston team, in just three months we have already reached the halfway point to hitting our financing goal,” said Daniel Ruth, president and CEO of the Jewish Home of San Francisco, the organization behind the development of 899 Charleston.
According to Ruth, the senior living counselors at 899 Charleston attribute interest in this community to its unique campus design, its affiliation with the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center, the solid reputation of its leadership from the Jewish Home of San Francisco, and Palo Alto’s desirable location.
899 Charleston will have 193 maintenance-free apartments and will offer private residences in one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans, located on specific floors of various buildings planned throughout the pedestrian-friendly Taube-Koret Campus for Jewish Life. The community’s unique neighborhood design of ‘eight houses’ around a Midrachov, a central pedestrian walkway, will foster greater opportunity for intergenerational connections as individuals of all ages engage with one another on the campus.
899 Charleston residents will enjoy services and amenities such as fine and bistro restaurant-style dining, a private dining room available for entertaining, concierge services, housekeeping and linen services, underground valet parking, scheduled transportation, a reader’s lounge, artists’ studio, card room, library, multi-media room, and a spa and salon.
In addition, 899 Charleston residents will have access to the new Oshman Family Jewish Community Center featuring a cultural and arts center; fitness, recreation and aquatic center; offices for local Jewish organizations; and early childhood education for children.
Offering a full continuum of care, 899 Charleston will provide personalized assisted living services, and the community will also include 11 memory support residences on campus. Residents are also afforded priority access to skilled nursing care through the affiliation with the Jewish Home of San Francisco.
899 Charleston is an initiative of the Jewish Home of San Francisco, a private non-profit charitable organization providing high-quality care and services to older adults in a home-like environment that emphasizes comfort, community and compassion. The Jewish Home is a comprehensive senior care center serving 430 residents.
